|About the Book|
James Prosek has established a niche for himself as a writer and water color artist specializing in portraits of fish. Its an unlikely genre, but his books are surprisingly compelling and the stories he writes complement the paintings well. Usually these stories are natural histories of fish like eels and trout, or the story of his love of fly fishing. This book weaves some autobiographical sketches of his difficult childhood, and his first loves: Whitney and Brook Trout. The artwork includes portraits of Brook Trout, dry flies, landscapes and ends with Whitney. Its a nice book of artwork, and a very moving memoir.
